The Stupa workshop's Nag Champa - the Kathmandu Valley interpretation of the classical Indian incense recipe centred on the champaca flower (Magnolia champaca). Bamboo-less hand-rolled 10cm sticks, fifteen per tube, ~30 minutes burn each.

Nag Champa is the most widely recognised Indian incense recipe outside the subcontinent; the underlying recipe family predates the 1960s Satya commercial wave by generations. Different workshops produce different versions of the underlying recipe; this is the Stupa workshop's Kathmandu version.

Opens floral-creamy from the champaca, settles into soft-floral, closes with resinous edges. More rounded than jasmine, more floral than sandalwood.

Trusted by reputable hotels & wellness spaces.

A contemporary house of ancient materials

Maison Éthérique brings together incense, aromatic resins, botanical bundles, crystals and the objects used with them. From our house in Dubai, we explore their aromas, stories and traditions - a collection for personal rituals, familiar favourites and gifts with meaning.

For the meaning it holds

A familiar aroma can become part of a daily ritual. A stone can be kept as a symbol of protection; a botanical chosen for a practice of purification. Across the collection, scent, beauty and personal meaning offer different reasons to choose.
