Premium Palo Santo Smudging Sticks (100g)

The premium grade selects for sticks from wood that has aged longest on the forest floor - typically five years or more after the tree's death, versus three to four years for the standard supply. Longer aging means deeper resin saturation; the wood is darker in colour, denser in feel, more aromatic in storage. The compound profile is the same as the standard grade but at higher concentration: more limonene per gram, more α-terpineol per burn, longer trace in the room. Each stick can typically be reused ten to fifteen times before the aromatic compounds deplete - roughly double the standard pack.

1. Hold one end of the stick to a flame for 30–60 seconds until the tip catches.
2. Blow the flame out - the stick smoulders.
3. Hold the stick or place it in a heat-safe dish.
4. Premium sticks smoulder longer per relight than standard grade - expect 5–8 minutes of active release before self-extinguishing.
5. Each stick supports 10–15 reuses before depletion.

Same burn pattern as the 5-Stick Bundle but with more aromatic material per use. Best in larger rooms or for longer sessions.

Premium palo santo grade is determined by aging time on the forest floor, not by harvest method or processing. The wood from a tree that died and aged for two years produces noticeably less aroma than wood from the same species aged for five years; the difference is in how much resin has migrated into the heartwood as the cellular structure decomposes around it. Peruvian harvest crews work the forest in long cycles, marking trees at death and returning years later - the supply chain is paced by the slow rhythm of decomposition, not by demand.
