Solid brass - a copper-zinc alloy with a long history in South Asian metalwork. The Indian brass tradition extends back several millennia, with hand-engraved decorative pieces being one of the oldest continuous craft forms on the subcontinent. The burners in this range are hand-engraved with floral patterns - typical of the Mughal-influenced decorative style that emerged across northern and western India from the sixteenth century onward and continues in contemporary brass-craft workshops.

Three sizes. The Small suits compact resin sessions, single tears at a time. The Medium is the standard tabletop size with room for multiple charcoal sessions. The Large suits broader use or display contexts. All three share the same hand-engraved floral patterning and structural form.

Brass is durable, withstands repeated charcoal heat, and develops a natural patina over time. The lid (when present) regulates smoke flow; the perforations allow the aromatic compounds to escape at a controlled rate while containing ash.

1. Place the burner on a heat-safe surface - wood, stone, or tile.
2. Light a charcoal tablet with tongs and place it in the burner once the edges glow grey-white.
3. Add a small piece of resin (or palo santo powder, or an incense cone) to the warm charcoal.
4. The lid (if applicable) can be placed loosely to direct smoke flow; leave open for fuller aromatic release.
5. Allow the brass to cool completely before handling after use.

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth to maintain the polished surface. For deeper cleaning, use a brass-safe cleaner. Avoid using water or chemicals directly on hot surfaces. Brass develops a natural patina over years of use - wipe off only when desired.
